I'm getting ready to plant flowers. Do you know of some pretty purple flowers I can plant? Size doesnt matter.

Purple is my favorite color. I have several varities of flowers in my beds.


1. Lavender


2. Cosmos (fushia color)


3. Petunias


4. Bachelors Buttons (blueish purple)


5. Hydrengas

FlowersBirthday FlowersSympathy Flowersfirst of all you did not give enough information are you wanting ideas for annuals or perennials are you wanting ideas for pots or in the ground or all annuals are flowers that bloom usually one season and die but some do self seed on the other hand perennials are flowers that come up year after year in a permanent place in the flower bed usually just get bigger each year and then about every 2-4 years needs to be divided to make more plants to put in other places in your flower bed I think there is more purple flowers than any other color and then you did not say if it is a sunny or shady place(big difference)


annuals sunny wave petunia,lobelia,viola,salvia,ageratum, and alysum these will do good in a sunny location in pots and in the ground now perennials are a whole different ballgame and a much bigger palette so here are a few of my favorites hardy geranium,veronica,campunula,salvia delphniums just to name a few now we did not even get into climbers or bulbs so many different flowers go to wayside gardens . com or park seed and see what interests you GOOD LUCK!

Reply:Right now my favorite purple flower is the columbine. The colors can be really deep and the shape is interesting.
Reply:pansies are pretty, and when they die you can take the seed buldge thing by the flower and plant new ones. also i think petunia's come in purple.
