What month is it ok to plant flowers,Impatiens?

It largely depends on your location.

Most reputable garden shops, nurseries, home stores, sell plants suited to the location. Certainly many varieties can grow in season, outside of their indiginous location.

I live in Central Florida for example. Most everything grows here, all year round. Impatiens are offered often in February, and can be planted then as long as there should be no more frost,,,which in this years case, was the case.

If you are planting or growing from seed you should be able to find guides on the plant pot/ tab stuck into the soil, on a seed packet, or ask the person who is selling the plants.

Reply:WELL IT DEPENDS ON WHAT FLOWERS YOU DECIDE TO GROW. SOME FLOWERS MAY APPEAR OR RESIST IN WINTER, SOME IN SUMMER ETC... SO U NEED TO KNOW WHAT SEASON IS BEST FOR WHICH FLOWER
Reply:What zone do you live in? MY advice is go to your local nursery. THEY may be able to tell you what plants grow well in your area.
Reply:Impatiens (commonly known as "Busy Lizzies") are half hardy plants. This means that they can grow outside once there is no futher risk of frost. This will entail the seeds being started into growth in a frost free greenhouse or light window sill, once germinated these seedlings will need to be grown on in pots in warm conditions until all risk of frost has past. If you can meet these conditions you can plant your seeds indoors now. If not, your best option is to buy ready grown plants later in the year.
Reply:It really depends on where in the US (or the world) that you live. You don't want to plant annuals in the ground while it's still getting below freezing or close to it at night in your area.

In my area, which is Colorado, the best time to plant is always around Mother's Day.
Reply:I live in Pennsylvania, I always start my plants indoors in a greenhouse that gives them a good start. I usually plant them outside around the middle of May when theres no risk of frost.
Reply:After the last frost in your area.loan
