ANTS..What is a way to get rid of outdoor ants, that will not harm plants, trees? WE have tried everything...

from powders, liquid and we are at our wits end. Get rid of some mounds and the next day "100" more pop up. Use to use Amdro which was great, but it doesn't work anymore.

Tired of getting bit when planting flowers, plants ect.....any help out there??

FlowersBirthday FlowersSympathy Flowerstry putting black pepper on the ground and in the hole. I know it work's in the house. Wouldn't hurt to try.
Reply:I haven't idea about out door ants.

You can use to get rid of them by using pest control.
Reply:Cinnamon - trust me it sounds CRAZY but it works. I worked in a Preschool where we couldnt use chemicals and if you put down a little cinnamon where they are comming in from they will run like the wind!
Reply:Diatramacious Earth..... it will kill any insect with a hard exoskeleton when it crawls across it! It won't hurt animals or children... some farmers feed it to their animals to keep the fleas off them! It works on Texas ants! And Boy do we have 'em!! I get mine at the feed store, but I think even Walmart sells it now.
Reply:Try straight white vinegar, and a bunch of it! It worked for me, and my plants were fine. Good luck!
Reply:I don't know about outside, but inside I use equal parts powdered sugar and Borax. It works like a charm and is non-toxic/earth friendly. You could give it a try in their mounds.genealogy mormon
