Is it ok to plant flowers in the spot close the where the vent for the dryer is?

Like where the air comes outside? Will my flowers live?

Reply:Interesting question. Depending on your climate, you may get away with placing a plant there that would take a slightly warmer growing zone than you live in. If it is a protected micro climate than it may work.

You'd have to keep and eye on whatever you plant and make sure it was trimmed to keep your vent free from leaves and keep the soil moist. I'd plant something hardy and drought tolerant.
Reply:It should be fine. I used to have my vegetable garden in front of my dryer vent and I found it actually prolonged my growing season.
Reply:not unless the plant can take that kind of heat. You might want to read what kind of heat the plant can take.
Reply:you can but depending on dryer use it is going to damage them and they may not produce desirable flowers
