Flowers
Reply:Local communties have Master Gardener programs that should be able to help you with the type of plants suited for your area. It may help you save some money and disappointment, if the plants don't tolerate the winter season.
Happy planting! :-)
Reply:yes you can plant bulbs and they well come up in the spring,or you can find other flowers that are blooming right now good luck.
Reply:Mums bloom in the fall and pansy's will bloom even in a light snow. Bulbs don't work well in zone 9, they need a freeze in order to bloom the following spring. I have to dig mine up in the fall and put them in the freezer a couple of weeks or all I get is leaves.
Reply:You can plant flowers any time of the year in Florida.
Reply:You might also be able to plant cool season annuals, like petunias and pansies. But like someone else mentioned, bulbs are great too. Daffodils, freesias, Dutch irises, narcissus, tulips...lots of color.
Reply:In Florida you can pretty much plant any time.performing arts
