Ornamental grasses,pinks and carnations will grown in shade or sun. violets, anemone, ranuncula, lily of the valley, primroses, grape hyacinth.
these are just some that I have in my garden in the shade. If you put shade loving plants into a search engine you will find loads.
Reply:I got loads of info. on this by googling "plants for shade". Which plants to choose depends on your own likes and dislikes but there are loads to choose from.

Hydrangeas love allot of water and an acidic fertilizer.
