Then figure in material costs such as gas. A landscape company would charge a minimum of $35 for a very small mowing, and most will not mes with her if she is only doing it for that short of time. The ball is definitely in your court.
Reply:I VERY much AGREE with Dunes %26amp; Cons answer.

If the money is your ONLY reason - don't do it
Reply:Just do it for free. A good neighbor and friend is better than money any day.

Let her tip you when she returns.
Reply:$100.00 - 150.00

she should realize what lawn services charge!!! Plus you'll be doing more than her yard. If she can afford to take a vacation for that long, then she can afford you!!
Reply:3 or 4 times is too much in a two week period, for mowing the Yard, Once a week is plenty. I would charge her $10.00 a day, that will average out to $140.00. Not bad for a 15 year old, but then again you are gonna have to earn it. When my neighbors go on Vacation, I do "little" things such as water their plants and get their mail for "Free" but when you are talking about heavy Maintenance such as what you will be doing , yes you should earn some Cash...
Reply:She is your neighbour and she is asking you that way.

Your other answers are from people making money, not for being neighbourly.

I would probably do it for nothing and rely on her rewarding me in someway
Reply:It is perfectly reasonable for you to accept the money, particularly when she is offering to pay.

Justin K's advise sounds good to me. If I was you I would ask for a specific amount, but have a clear idea of how you worked it out. This will make it easier for you to negotiate if you need to.

As an adult home owner it is easier to do things for your neighbor for free and expect the favor to be returned. But this isn't a fair thing to expect a teenager to do.

Good luck with itwww.poetry.com
