What kind of climbing (vining) flowers would be good to grow in north east Ohio?

I'm going to put up a white picket fence and I want to plant flowers that will vine and climb over it. During the summer its usually 80-90 something degrees and during the winter the ground freezes. It would be in the sun. What is best for this type of environment?

Reply:Try trumpet vines. They grow up to thirty feet a year. Every time you get a new strand, lace it to the fence. Thew are great for attracting humming birds also. Over time they will cover the whole fence.
Reply:climbing or trellis roses would be prettycomputer
